3 iron infusions in 15 days

 I was diagnosed with severe anemia on 30 January,  and I had iron infusions (1000 mg per infusion) on  31 January, 7 February, and 14 February.   I also had to have cortisone injections before each infusion, that is standard protocol for patients with multiple drug allergies. Pretty rough time, but 4 weeks after finishing, I’m starting to feel like myself again.   And results of FBC (CBC) show that my haemoglobin has  just scraped into the bottom of the normal range!  Yay!  

 However, my white blood count has dropped from 8.0 to 4.1 (monocytes high,  neutrophils low) , and my platelets have fallen by 1/3. Has anyone else ever experienced drops in whites and platelets, after getting this much iron?  Or could be the cortisone?
