3 months no diagnosis, no hospital appointments

I've been off work for 3 months waiting on a proper diagnosis, I've been referred to ENT, Neurology and Cardio dept. In the past I was diagnosed as a migraine suffering but this is not like before hence new referrals. I'm a 47 year old woman I run a payroll for a uni and I can't use a VDU at the moment. Has anyone out there experienced screen distortion, sickness, sore eyes. I'm pretty much house bound as I get exhausted, dizzy and confused when I go out so much so I am not trusted to shop alone. I take Betahistine as it seems to enable me to move better. I have read so much over the past few months and waiting for any kind of diagnosis or appointment is just adding to the problem.

I have been told BT the neurologist that my dizzi ness is probably migrainous. I could not look at a screen and found cooking difficult. I referred myself for vestibular rehab and it helped a lot. This was a year ago and I still have bad days but mostly I am getting better. I take anti anxiety medication which is meant to prevent another migraine.

I go for walks everyday and go shopping and meet friends for coffee. My life hasn't ended but it changed. My balance is much better as I do tai chi exercises everyday. I hope this is reassuring. I find mostly bad news on this site!

Have you read about magnesium deficiency? It's a long story, but I took a vitamin D supplement and ignored the advice about magnesium, and ended up feeling dizzy, my eyes did weird things, and felt sore and heavy, and I was very tired, and sort of confused. Haven't heard of sickness, but loss of appetite is a symptom. So I am currently restocking my body's magnesium store and starting to feel better. There are so many things it could be, but that is one possibility.

Sorry just lost my connection it's rubbish where I live.  So briefly I said I would like to try alternative therapy have you tried it and if so how did you find out where to start. I also have not been diagnosed yet. My Doctor is great and due to my complex medical condition I am restricted what I can try.  I am 59 and I have had it on and of for about 3 years I think.  You are right about the shopping as the stumbling rubs your life.  I hope you soon get diagnosed and sorry I'm not much help to you but as they say  "Keep smiling"  I know it's hard.  Take care.
