3 months on Sertaline

Hello all. Been on sertaline for 3 months now. I started on 25 and then up to 50. I can say that I do feel so much better than before sertaline however last night was just so so bad...

I went for a check up with gp yesterday and was telling her how good I felt. She asked about my sleeping and that us really the only problem I have. I fall asleep but wake up early hours and can't get back. So she gave me a sleeping tablet.. 14 zolpidem. I decided not to take one last night. (OFCOURSE I googled the side effects.. an bad move). so anyway went to bed and I had such racing thoughts and it didn't settle for hours. so today I'm stuck in the anxiety circle.. light headed, tight throat and feeling spaced and really anxious.. maybe not enough sleep?

My question is surely after three months I shouldn't be feeling this way? I was doing so well and feel so bad today.

Anyone got simular experiences. JUST want to feel "Normal"

    Hi Jay,

Ya gotta have sleep.. sleep recharges our bodies.

My neurologist taught me that the body releases Melatonin in preoaration for sleep. we have so many lights and screens that the process is inhibited ..I take Melatonin no more than 3 mg two hours before bedtime and now I sleeo wuthout the drugged feeling

    kind regards

Isn't this just a very difficult disease to overcome? Just when you feel better...BAM it hits you again and knocks you off your feet but I guess the important thing is, we get back up and fight another day to keep our sanity.
