3 months post Burst Eardrum. Ringing & Hearing Loss

I have written previously, but this is my update and the full story
About 3 months go I burst my eardrum by accidently poking it.
Went to A&E and then ENT specifialist couple of days later who said it drum had a small tear but it would heal. Specialist cleaned the ear with a spinning brush (it hurt) then gave me ear drops for the eardrum.
A day later, the ear started seeping and was infected (i think). Also made the mistake of flying although was told it was ok. Took oral anti bitotics and seeping stopped.
Problem I have now is that 3 months later, the eardrum has healed over (with a small scar) and a CT and MRI scan show no problems whatsoever for the bone and tissue YET i feel a loss in hearing and a constant ringing in the ears which gets worse at certain times in the day.
My question is, am I stuck with this?.. or will it heal still over time.

Why don't you go back and have another test and see if there is any middle ear or sensorineural hearing loss. They can also do a tympanogram and compare it with the one 6 weeks after the incident. Tell them about the tinnitus and ask them to test higher frequencies as well. If they specialise in tinnitus, they will do that anyway.

You won't know what can be done until you find out what type of hearing loss it is, if there is one.

Hi,
Im sorry it's taken this long to get back to you, but I have only just managed to find out what the last hearing test said.
So my two finding are as follows..
1. the hearing test showed a sensory loss
2. The MRI was clear. The CT scan report says 'Conclusion: Lest mastoid fluid'
