3 Months post hemmorhoidectomy

Hi. I had hemmorohoidectomy on 2.10.2020 3 outer and 1 inner grade 4, ive had them for 15 ish years. I am 33 years old now.

The first week was horrible, had operation on friday and first BM on Sunday. Thought i was gonna die, even tho i used numbing lidocaine gel and levolac stool softener and some painkillers. Bm was really bad for 1 week, at week 2 they were a little better but stayed unchangeable too about week 6. When i got a hard stomach and i felt like dying on the toilet again, It started bleeding more and burning like hell from week 6 to week 9. I called the doctor week 9 and as i thought myself i had a fissure, now ive used diltiazem cream for 3 weeks and the burning seems to dissapear. But i still ocationally bleed and leak mucus.

I had 3,5 weeks off from work, that was too little cos i drive a 24ton forklift = sitting alot.

Ive eaten fruit, oatmeal, salad, wholegrain nuudles, pea soup etc . So i lost 7kg in 12weeks.

Ive washed my butt 3 times a day for 12 weeks, having Bm once a day in the morning.

I still pass blood sometimes, and leak mucus every day for atleast 7h after bm.

My butt is sore for about 4h after bm, but i can sit. Due to leakage i have to have a toilet paper in my buttcrack the whole day, i change it every 2/3 hours. And remove it when going to sleep.

I have a large Skintag, its sometimes sore..

My finnish doctor only want to see me,if i have problems still after 6 months have passed...

So my questions are:

1: When will i stop bleeding and leaking mucus/feaces ? This is still going on, like my anus doesnt close 100% Blood comes with bm sometimes, then its like water for 2h and then it becomes mucus, almost like a bugger.

2: I still have tightness when pooping, i feel a urge to go and starts farting. But when i am at toilet i

can feel it start to push, then its like hitting a wall and takes a half minute to pass it. I also cant hold back when my body starts to push to poop by itself !? Could it still be swelling or a tense anus muscle ?

3: I still take stool softener, i am terrified of a hard stool. But i still have mostly firm and decent size stool so i would assume it cant be stricture either !?

4: I have a large skintag, 4mm wide and 1cm long. It sux, and i assume it wont go away ?

5: I want my life back. Or is hanging from a three in a rope around ur neck, the only remedy for this ?

Wanted to see if anybody had it similar to me = 3 months or more and still not as it should be.

A: call to your doctor, i dont think that is normal the open part, the leaked part takes from 1 to 4 months, dont use toilet papper, use sanitary towels or cotton , toilet paper can hurt you, also dont do as mush sith baths because it hurst the skin. i stoped after the week 5. for cleaning dont use toilet paper use hemorroid towels, or wet toilet paper( its like wipes but made for toilet paper they are very useful)

2: I still have tightness when pooping, i feel a urge to go and starts farting. But when i am at toilet i

A: buy a potty stepp is gonna save your life , you dont need to push with the anus, but with the abdomen, also breath deep and relaax dont force it when you breath deep, the anus opens. also if you have to fart fart, i recomend the best position is to lay down on your back and put your leg in the hair like if you were doing abs, that will allow to pass gas... by the way the swelling can take from 1 months to 9 months according to my doctor, so just relax

3: I still take stool softener, i am terrified of a hard stool. But i still have mostly firm and decent size stool so i would assume it cant be stricture either !?

A drink water and put more greens and vegetables also not red meat, i takea spoon of plantaben (metamusil) in the mornings and stool softener at night with water, it works for me. i go to the bathroom 1-2 times a day.

4: I have a large skintag, 4mm wide and 1cm long. It sux, and i assume it wont go away ?

    A it will

5: I want my life back. Or is hanging from a three in a rope around ur neck, the only remedy for this ?

A: i am in month 2, things will get better i was just like you 3 weeks ago, different people heal different.

Wanted to see if anybody had it similar to me = 3 months or more and still not as it should be.

Extra: thinks that help me : just get a notebook, and write 7 times at morning, 7 times at afternoon and 7 times at nigh a happy positive phrase for 30 days: for example mine was : i am swimming in a river of love and acceptance. is something mental but it works

      Thanks for the reply Jalil.

1: Well the doctor that did the operation dont want me to call before 6 months has passed, but the local doctor said to contact him again if my fissure dont go away in 3weeks. I think the fissure is gone now tho, doesn't burn so much after bm today and 3 weeks has gone. I never did sitz baths, i wash my ass with a hand shower after BM and usually midday and evening = 3 times a day for a minute. Then i dab it dry with toilet paper, im not wiping. The leak proofing a.k.a 1 piece of toilet paper, i try to have that a bit away from the anus opening= its clenched between my buttcheeks just for a leak proofing. So it aint rubbing/hurting. My secondary doctor said the outside heling looked good allready at week 2, its something inside me that isn,t right. i assume SCAR TISSUE !?

2: Yep i did buy a potty step on week 3. It's alot better. But my body starts to push on its own when im getting it going, but i will try to relax and deep breathe more 😃 Oh the swelling can go on so long, well i just gotta hope and wait then.

3: I eat better than Jesus nowdays, before i ate microvawe dinners/frozen pizza/fastfood and bread. Now i eat oatmeal, whole grain nuudles, pea soup, red bell peppers, and china cabbage, and i drink 2 litres of water a day. I eat almost no meat whatsoever.

      4: Hopefully 😄

5: You are doing fine then, im in month 3 :S

    Hi

I had my hemorrhoidectomy op done last year 5th December. I had 3 internal and 1 external hemerroid removed. The initial pain was unbearable but now I'm much better. There are occasions where I feel pain when having BM but it goes away.

Just wanted to know if this was normal:

I still have a yellow discharge that comes out it has a bit of an order.

My BM are coming out in very small amounts and sizes.

Are these all normal and part of the healing process?

The pain with BM can go on a long time, bleading too.

      UPDATE:

I can say im on week 15 healing, i have worked since week 3,5 but now im off work again 2 weeks due too a fissure ! I have quite a high pain tolerance i assume, many would have been off work untill now. Especially if they sit and drive a large forklift, that is really bumpy due to snow and winter. + im getting in and out of it atleast 40 times a day, and thats 8 steps x 40 times.

I got a fissure on week 5, because of hard stool. Was to the doctor week 9 and got diltiazem, and a doctors visit again at week 15 and got some antibacterial/ hydrocotizone cream that i shall apply 1 week now. That will say ( My fissure is not healed )

BM still burns a bit, but not as deadly as in the first days after surgery.

I still bleed 80% of the times i poop. I have a feeling it's the fissure + from inside me = scar tissue.

I leak some watery wound liquid 1-2h after BM, afterwards it becomes yellow mucus for 4-5h. And in the evening it's almost non consistent.

My morning poop is often harder to get out at the beginning, i have to wait a minute or 2. I feel it is on it's way, but a bit to dry/large or some !? Afterwards it's often like fine chopped and comes out fast. Sometimes i can have normal size formed stool, but only like 2 times a week.

I still take stool softener, and eat alot of fruit/ veggies/ oatmeal/ green pea soup + 2l water a day.

Yusuf 21432 Ive read it's a long healing process, it can take everything from 4-12 months.

      hi

I was operated last 13weeks ago . I have pain and bleeding during and after bm. i wanna know your experience of recovery. how long I suffer from this symptom. are u fully recovered?? let me know your experience. please reply me

im on week 6 post op and still have alot of swelling, on an internal one specifically i believe. i had one internal and one external removed. it seems like with every bm the wound opens back up being that it also burns, could be a fissure but ive never had one so i dont know how those feel.

are you still having swelling as well?

when i went to the doctor 3 week post op he said the swelling was normal and was healing correctly also that in 6 weeks i should be back to normal but its been 4 weeks since then and nothing has changed.

i wont lie i havent cleaned up my diet as i should but i do take fiber, stool softners , a cap of miralax daily about 2 liters of water a day.

i dont think my stool is hard but after every bm i get the feeling this is why im not healed. i feel like the amount of bm i have a day are just prolonging the healing processing 😦

    thanks for your time

Sounds like the normal crappy healing process with this type of surgery, im on week 16 and i still have some minor burning with BM. But it is better than it was on week 6, i still limped when walking then, and it burned 4-6 hours after my morning poop.. Today it was a bit harder to get the Pooping started, it's like always a big one (plugged) at first. Afterwards it often comes with a lightspeed and 8 drips of blood at the end. Seems to be like that alot now, not so much formed stools either, more like finchopped onion after the initial 1st compressed one!?

I think my fissure is getting better, not much burning after Bm now. A bit less leakage/ wound liquid/mucus. And overall a bit easier to live. But id say i still have 40-50% healing left before i have a normal life.

This is a long and painful process, i think i have some swelling aswell on the inside. So kg33333 u still have a long way to go, i assume 5 - 8 months is more resonable healing time with this.
