3 weeks!!

well 3 weeks today, and I'm having a good day, just had a lovely refreshing shower, and love that just washed feeling cheesygrin loaded the washer, cleaned the the counters,now sitting down with my mint tea, can't wait for the 6 weeks, so I can get out in the car again, oh can anyone remember is it 6 weeks for the teds or 12?

    Hi Lynne me too what a great time it is now to recover too, in the summer, and off work for another month, at least..cheesygrin.just depends on the money, but hey I am 55 this year and can get a little cash from my over inflate pension plan, then pay it back a little more every month, just want to upgrade my camera in the New year, coolwill be a 1K, but I want to use it now not what I am old...latest one is now 7 yrs old and way out of date..rolleyes.I took my teds off as they dug in so much to my calves, but will keep up the injections till they are finished.

      Probably stupid question but still waiting to plan surgery. What injections!!!!!

      oops ... they did not tell you ? well, me neither ...

      After surgery you need to get bloodthinners to prevent DVT -

      I had to self inject Fragmin for 6 weeks ... others for less and some none at all ...and then the TED socks/stockings of which I don't know anything about ...

      So it depends on the hospital and surgeon, darling -

      Hope it doesn't freak you out ....

      Really feel the need to jump in here, with respect.

      Hope no-one thinks their hospital forgot to give them blood thinning injections. My understanding is that only a minority use this practice. Majority rely on TEDS to mitigate blood clots. Have had 4 THRs in total. With 3rd, developed blood clot on lung. Only then did I have to have warfarin and after 4th, injections, because it was deemed I was prone.

    I had mine on for 6 hours! The nurses took them on at hospital, I was injecting with blood thinners too tho

    Sounds lovely Lynne!  Keep on healing and feeling well.  I'm having trouble with my SI joint now--very frustrating!!

    6 weeks for me for Ted's but he added a further 2 weeks for driving. Very cautious my man.
