I had a vein only knee that was still there after surgery and I was very p off ! I was told this happens sometimes but my belief is it was not removed as surgeon didn't mark it

AnywY I had a session of injections to remove I though I can still see it faintly so I think I need more

Hi Isla, I also had four incomplete operations and NHS consultant put me fwd for 5th. Then I went to private doctor and had a proper scan and I was shocked to discover that none of my incompetent veins inside were actually treated. Prof.W told me that it’s very common, unfortunately, vascular surgeons do not understand vveins and do not treat underlying course of VV . Which hospital did you have your op? What type of surgery? Was it avulsions? I had mine last two with Dr Baker at RFH and ECH and I am saving money to go to do private op.next. Keep in touch.

Hiya I only just realised you had replied to my post sorry 😯 ok yeh each operation was just tiny slits the last op was from the top of my leg, you see my vein was only ever one and just seems to come back but this time never went at all..so I have been to get ultra sound on my left leg and they have suggested this foam procedure I can't remember proper terms but on Monday 15th December I get this procedure with guidance of ultra sound and the eject foam type substance that blocks the vein and by time the vein disappears, do you know anything about this procedures 😊
