3 years after ablation IS IT BACK?

Hi everyone,
April 2017 i had an ablation for SVT, all has been good since then, ive had the odd palpitation but nothing too alarming for me.
last week i had what felt like SVT my heart suddenly started beating so fast, i felt panicked and then it stopped. it must have been 3 seconds.
Then ive just been making dinner and its happened again, I'm so so scared, could it be back? Could it be serious this time? Will i die?
I am so so happy at the moment and then this happens, its my daughters 5th birthday today and now im down in the dumps scared to death of whats going to happen to me.
Any advice from anyone please please reply, i appreciate your time.

My post successful ablation experiences have included lots of short "runs" (10 seconds or less) of tachycardia, Amy. My health care people have monitored them and assured me that they are of no significance. I've been able to believe them (quite a successful change for me), and I now pay little attention to them. Now and then I'll notice one, and I've learned that taking a deep breath seems to immediately stop them. Probably has something to do with the vagus nerves, but as long as they stop, I don't much care about anything else. I'm in no way diminishing your very understandable response to your "runs". It took me 50 years to get to where this stuff doesn't much bother me. I hope you can achieve something like this, too. Maybe your health care people can successfully reassure you, too. I hope so. Please take the best of care of yourself.

My story is very similar to yours. i had a successful ablation back in 2017 and was SVT free for 18 months. I then fell pregnant and at 13 weeks my SVT returned. The episode was as bad as any i had experienced prior to my ablation and had to go to hospital. I got through the rest of my pregnancy without any further episodes but when my daughter was 3 weeks old i had another. However, this episode was unlike any i'd had before. It was very short (only 5-10 seconds) and stopped without me having to do anything. This has never happened before. Ive always had to use different techniques to make it stop. A few weeks ago it happened again the same. Stopped very quickly and pretty much stopped with me holding my breath briefly. My cardiologist doesnt believe my SVT is back - although i dont agree. He believes that a small thread may have been left behind during the ablation and would only cause an issue with a trigger which in my case was pregnancy. My heart has gone back to being very sensitive (although this could be due to anxiety) and at times it will flutter as if its going into SVT. I feel ur pain, its tough thinking u have your life back only for the SVT to return. I have no advice but wish you the best of luck and hopefully you get some answers.
