It amazes me how this virus presents it self over a long period it does nothing for years and then bang painful OB one after another. You can learn to live with it but cannot get use to it.

      Condoms

Safe sex practice but to be honest eventually you will get it could take 10 years or longer its very infectious

You mean that you infected your partner even with using condom ?

So are you saying that you infected your partner while on suppressive therapy and using condoms?

Let me be clear about hsv2 the only way you wont get it is not to have sex or wear a body condom. This is because antivirals dont work on everyone and condoms only protect the shaft. What about the rest? Groin, balls, pubic area, anus area. It can appear anywhere around there and it doesnt always have blisters. This is why large amount of people have it. Also doctors only know the typical presentations, how many times have u heard on this site that medico have dismissed symptoms for something else. Im all for support but if you have sex in any form the chances are high that you will contract this unpredictable disease.

So your answer is: yes. Your partner got infected even with meds and condom.

My doctor insists that no need for condom if no outbreak!

      Weird
