30 year old with stroke or demyelating symptoms

Hello there, I’m hoping I might get similar symptom based peoples thoughts.

Last October I had what at the time was labelled a mini stroke. I had onset numbness and weakness on my left hand side that came on all at once within a minute at most. I found it difficult to speak and was instantly sick and fell to one side. I also experienced chest pains, but no headache. At the hospital they frombalised me certain it was stroke. I recovered fully within 2 days, but remained weak, tired and with confusion + loss of words I used to know. Because I recovered quickly and have no risk factors and my subsequent scans (MRI & CAT) were clear except some small white matter at the back of my head, they became unsure if it was in fact a stroke and whether it might be demyelating disease. I was sent home after 6 days and given Clopadogril to take daily and gave in general been well since except for a recent event where I had onset numbness / weakness on my left side again with lots of tingling - but this time no other symptoms and it resolved within 24 hours. It might be worth noting I had 2 prior numbness events prior to the ‘mini stroke’ before this, but never looked into it as they passed within 30 mins.

I’m 30 years old, female, healthy lifestyle & weight, non-smoker etc. No risk factors other than speculation of an arithymia (I get chest pain, missed beats & palpatations quite frequently but it hasn’t been caught on tape yet, only seen when I was in hospital of which they lost the record of!)

I’m wondering whether anyone has had a similar experience or knows whether this would fit into either option (stroke or demyelating). I’m set to have a lumbar puncture & had another MRI yesterday, but I have no doubt it will be clear like the previous 3.

Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

I forgot to mention I get a pulling / drifting feeling in my head often when lying down in bed on my left side. Not sure if that’s related. Also my heartbeat can be irregular going from 45 to 145 doing the same thing.

    Thanks!

Sorry, last thing! In case it means anything. When I was in hospital the first time my heart troponin enzymes were at 360.

Hi there, I can only tell you my experience. What I have been told is, my head trauma was similar to having a stroke. I've been told to remain positive and recovery may take 2 years and probably not be 100 percent. I am waiting for shoulder replacement, and back surgery. Hoping the back surgery takes my foot numbness away. Keep moving forward and remain positive. Xo
