30Kgs down without even trying - I am worried

I have been posting a lot on this site but I have never actually asked this question. Now, however, I am very concerned after having spoken to my doctor. For the last 11 months I have been struggling with reflux and have been alternating between my normal and specialised diet for all that time. Through doing that I have figured out what most of my triggers are and I have cut them out - this includes coffee and coke. Funny thing is, I still eat a substantial amount of food and I don't exercise at all BUT I keep losing weight. I can't understand. Is there something else that could be wrong with me? Every doctor I have been to tells me that it's normal but I am not so sure. Losing a massive 30kgs in a year's time without even trying is crazy! Isn't it?

Your dietary changes have probably meant you are consuming fewer foods that have a high calorific value.
The advice is to eat little but often. If you are keeping your energy levels up and your weight doesn't go below the normal range, there's probably nothing to worry about but if it continues to fall too much, do discuss it with your doctor again.

The thing is that I was extremely obese - I was at 111kg last year November but as soon as I changed my diet and cut out my bad habits the weight just DROPPED. By June of this year I weigh 86 and by the time I reached October I was 80Kgs. My meal portions and everything has changed significantly and I eat mostly boiled foods and vegetables instead of anything fried but I find it very hard to believe that I could lose such a substantial amount of weight by just doing that . Also I still don't feel quite well - totally not out of the acid reflux woods yet and I am still experimenting with my diet, finding a lot of useful things that helps. I must admit though that I cheat often but the weight still goes down. I need to weigh 65kgs for my BMI and such to be considered healthy but I can't help but feel restless about this. I still feel ill.

I may get a small amount occasionally (just an occasional little tickle in the throat, perhaps) but no more than a normal person and certainly nothing like my previous problems.
You're the first person I've heard of who's tried the Reza Band.
I was asked if i could find volunteers for a UK trial some months ago by the researchers who advise the NHS. But they made their recommendations anyway - just about its possibility.
Barium swallow is the one test I have not had. They didn't think it was necessary for me as my history of oesophagitis and existence of Barrett's Oesophagus was sufficient for them to know I get reflux.
