33 with lichen sclerosus and very scared

Hello ladies
Was hoping to talk to some women who have been through this already. I've been to 2 family doctors who both believe I have lichen sclerosus. My skin around my vulva has lost its pigmentation down to my anus. It is itchy sometimes they gave me steriod cream to use till I see a dermatologist which isn't till Feb ( I'm in Canada). I suffer from anxiety and am freaking myself out. It recently has become sore sometimes only on the right side. I've spent far to much time on Google and am worried I have vin. I go for a colyscopy on Oct 15th for LSIL and all this together is overwhelming.

Are there more recent conversations about this topic. I have an appointment with a gynecologist next week, because I think I have lichen sclerosis. I have the exact same symptoms as you do. I am a 57 year old African American female and when I saw that part of my vulva and anal area had list it's pigmentation, I damn near passed out. When did this happen. I have been celibate for almost 4 years!! I only looked at my genital area, with a mirror, because I had some minor itching. I am just heart broken about this!!

Should have looked at this post first. Now I understand that you're not sure you have LS. Just a moment ago I responded to your other post. Perhaps let's first wait for your doctor's findings?

Hey everyone. I know this thread is old but I'm having some problems and I'm almost 100% certain that I've got LS. I'm 21 and never had any kind if issue like this before. It's humiliating...
I noticed the patch of white skin about a month ago and it's gotten a few inches bigger since then. Plus my perianal area feels raw and itchy, especially when I try to poo.
I don't know when I will be able to make it to the doctor, so does anyone have any homeopathic relief methods? I can't go poo without feeling like someone has rubbed sandpaper on my privates. And last night during intercourse I think that the affected skin tore a little bit, so now it hurts even worse to go to the restroom.
Can someone please give me some information on what I'm in for with this disease and maybe some tips on how to make it less uncomfortable? Thank you in advance!!!

hi
i am 34 and was diagnosed with LS about 1.5 years ago, but suffered for almost 1.5 years before that.
Honestly, I found a great naturopath who prescribed CALENDULA ointment which i found very helpful (more then clobetasol).
she also put me on a daily zinc supplement and those two things have markedly and drastically improved my LS.
before when I was just using the clobetasol i would have vulvar tears all the time, and i have not had one in over a year.
I also see a specialist annually, DR SELK , in TORONTO. She is excellent and supports natural therapies as well.
