I am 36, in Dec 2011 I had my first cervical fusion, C-4 C-5. Fast forward to Dec 2016 was still having problems so my new NS performed another cervical fusion this time not only remove my old fusion replace with a bigger piece of bone but remove C-3 C-4 and C-5C-6. So I had a multi level fusion. I just went to my 3 1/2 month check in am being weaned off my neck brace but I had to wear it 24/7. I am exhausted all the time! I was active prior even with the pain I was cleaning houses and truthfully want to go back to that profession. I had bone spurs removed from all 3 levels he took out old fusion and then the other 2 herniated discs and then put in bone new metal boom! Lol. I haven't driven and barely leave my parents home. I had to move in with them since he had mentioned 6months to a year until he would release me for normal activities and work. I stopped my Somas awhile ago and only take my Norcos when I need to. I have a high pain tolerance anyhow. I have an 11 yr old son I have every other week and can usually pull myself out of bed we go for walks look at the on our property I watch him play basketball we also games board and video, watch movies. So I'm not sure if I do too much the days I him and then pay for it sorta speak the week I don't have him. The weeks I don't have him I go to the store once, his basketball games, some laundry, clean my room and play with my 3 yr old chi weenie. I am still limited to only lifting 10 lbs until my next appointment in May. I start PT this week. NS said to not even use the elliptical. I know until the first night without my neck brace, which was 4 nights ago, I was only sleeping 1-3 hours at a time sometimes no sleep at all...so maybe I making up for 3 months of awful sleep. Any suggestions?
