3d degree uterine prolapse with no prior issues or gentic problems

Hi All!
I am asking for your help! I had a 3d degree prolapse at work because I was straining to move a half ton metal food cart with trays to feed 50 to 90 people. This was a jail setting. So all doors and everything is metal and very heavy. I was straining to move it and suddenly plop I felt it fall and had cramps.
Has anyone else had a job related prolapse? I keep hearing the causes and none of them apply to me. I have had 2 children all natural within 45 minutes to 2 hours to delivery. I am a yoga instructor I have never had any prior problems. So just wondering if any one else has had this happen.
Thanks fo any answers!

So sorry to hear this. Not happened to me as such but I had 3 difficult births but was always lifting and moving things about.Have since been told it's an absolute no no for women to move heavy stuff about. I now moderate what I move, don't want to have to go through surgery again if I can help it.Have you had any surgery at all or are you booked in to be operated on?
Please let us know how you get on x

I had surgery in June. The robotic assisted one. I lost all. My uterus, cervix, tubes and also had to have my vaginal reattached.

So sorry to hear. Has not happened to me like that but I can empathize with you.
I think some women are more prone to prolapse than others.
I too lift heavy items in my job. Bins of Clothing. I spoke with my Prolapse Specialty Therapist and she said that its not a good idea to do that. So Im making the bins 1/2 full. They will still be heavy but not so much. Perhaps pick up less more times. We have to work. Right? Also, train your body to lift up not bear down when lifting heavy items. Its about training your body. It takes time. Im trying so well see.... Look for You Tube Videos on Prolapse.

I don't fit into any of the normal reasons. Just wondered if anyone else had had that happen.

I am sorry to hear what has happened to you, we hear it all the time. It could be picking up a suitcase, even moving a heavy coffee table. If you have not yet seen one, go find a good womens physiotherapist - you will be taught how to brace, how to improve your breathing technique (so you don't push down) and exercises that will help you get strong again. There are other things you must do to manage your prolpase (That means make sure it doesn't get worse, and to prevent further prolpase) Other pelvic organs can prolpase so it is essential that you firm up your pelvic floor with exercise for maximum support, Improve your posture - walk tall, sit up straight
Supplement with a good Vit D - Clinically proven to improve pelvic floor exercise outcomes
Dont strain on the loo - try squatting on the toilet with a toilet stool
Practice the Kegel Brace - when you sneeze or cough.
If you exercise, make sure you follow safe exercises for propase, so not sit ups, crunches.
Weight - watch it like a hawk, 10% weight loss could make your pelvic floor stronger by 50% it needs all the help it can get.
I hope this helps you to get strong, I know you will be devastated by what has happened and you are looking for an explanation, however this is an opportunity for you to get your body strong. There are so many women managing prolapse.
I hope this helps.
Keep strong!
Stephanie

Pay to see a physiotherapist as they are much less expensive than a operation (applies to USA ladies) and less obtrusive.
Best to all.
