hi there. this is the 3rd time now ive had a barthloins cyst.

first two i had drained at the er while i was there for some allergic reactions to antibotics

first was filled with semenal fluid, second was just pus (smaller then the first but noticable). both drained withen a week or so of each other. maybe two weeks.

now this 3rd time, ive had it for 2 months now. its not painful, outside of some aching if its rubbed on too much. but its not a hard lump. its still a fluid filled pocket, still moveable when poked etc. antibotics dont help.

docs refused to drain it when i requested for it to be.

sex makes the swelling/size larger too. although sex isnt painful.

but im terrified to sleep in case it gets infected, or is. compresses do not help, theyre recurring, and im desperate and scared its abcessed/infected already but i have no idea.

any information on ways to deal with it, or if you think its infected is welcome.

I would see a different doctor. Doesn't sound like its infected mine would grow quickly and were painful when infected. I saw doctors that would just drain it ever 3 to 6 months and that went on for years. I'm an extreme case so don't freak out i had to have complete glad removal.

I also had a recurring Bartholin's cyst for 11 years. No doctor wanted to remove it and I literally tried every home remedy under the sun. I was miserable but also scared of gland removal because of the many horror stories. One day, I read a blog where a woman recommended finding a gyn oncological surgeon. I researched and finally found one and she recommended getting it removed. It was the best thing I ever did. Surgery was about an hour, recovery was also about an hour and i was out of work for a week. Don't let fear stop you. I wish I would've done it sooner. Best of luck 😃
