4-5 hours of sleep?

Posted , 3 users are following.

For a little over two weeks I have been getting 4-5 hours of sleep but do not feel tired. today I felt so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open and then slept for 3 hours and don't feel tired at all. I have tried 3 different light medications with no noticiable improvements. Any ideas on what's going on? I'm REALLY worried about this. These were my last days of sleep hours. Even drifting off for 1 hour I remembered my dream

Are you a smoker or drinker? Alcohol and nicotine are common causes of sleep disturbances similar to those you describe.

Some more background info that I shoulf have included in first post. When it first happened feb 16 I awoke early from extreme back pain with no apparent cause. Through out the day I would try to use naproxen to kill the pain. It would be so bad sometimes I would stop what I was doing and clench my back. I got no sleep that night. The next morning I had testicular pain too except not quite as bad. I would then start worrying if it was a hemmoroid, cancer, testicular torsion. I again got almost no sleep (thanks to the pain). The next day I went to the doctors to get some test done they all came back negative. My back pain then subsided with lighter testicular pain a day later.i attempted to doze off in the morning but a hour later each time I would awake to a panic attack(never had one before) with intense shaking. I had the same reaction the next 3 times I tried to go to sleep.eventually I would go a few days without sleeping. Now? The panic attacks are gone. But I still feel extremely anxious everyttime I try to go to bad.(still shaking). I worry that my state could be a sign of a serious condition and my anxiety is getting worse each day. I have also lost my appetite and am eating one meal a day. I have almost barfed a couple of times trying to force feed myself.
