Hi Lucy , although i never upped my dose from 20mg i experienced exactly what you're describing. I know this med works well for some it didn't for me , and after 3 months i stopped taking it . Really hope you're feeling better soon

    Take care Xx

Sorry to hear this. It is scary but it appears that the med is responsible from the timing of your signs and symptoms. I suggest discussing this with your dr who may review the medication . Take care

Hi karen i have been on 20 mg for over 10 years and needed them to be increased as i was getting paranoid and anxious again more than i should. I do remember getting side effects when i first started them but just dont recall them being this bad, however i have had a lot of stress this past few weeks so they may be working in some way i just cant tell yet.... its so hard.

Do you take a different medication now? How u doing

Today im 6 weeks since i upped my dose from 20mg to 40mg ......wow  what a difference. When i was at week 3-5 my god was i ill i had times of wishing i was dead, my anxiety was through the roof i was shaking, pancking, not sleeping, not eating, feeling sick, couldnt go out alone and franckly couldnt see a way out. But now im 90% better i can see a future, im looking forward to things again, im happy to go out and i dont have racing thoughts, i still feel a bit edgy in the mornings but that passes after a while and i take a beta blocker which im hoping i wont need for much longer.

So if your going through a bad time please believe me it will get better it just takes time for these meds to work

    Hi Lucy,

Different med but I’m at 18 days into an increase , 8 weeks on the med total and I’m feeling so bad I’m feeling losing faith! So it’s worth sticking with it? X
