4 days post Rezum

Hi everyone,

i had the most painful episode with Rezum 4 days ago. Total hell ... sent home with a foley, self removed (on docs orders) after 3 days.

Today, day 4, still blood and clots in the urine, but my stream is noticeably reduced. Pain to urinate, limited output, literally running to the toilet when the urge happens as its that urgent. At least, i can still go !!

Anyone have any info/advice on when this should improve ? i know rezum takes weeks/months to fully work, but im talking about the post procedure pain, discomfort and ability to pee normally.

Thanks to all

@ddelima How soon were you told to expect improvement in UTI symptoms? Do you have middle lobe obstruction with ball valve bladder neck? That is my dilemma. With OAB/BPH I feel your pain, I stopped in my tracks, when I discovered my risks were greater in having Foley issues. I see my Uro this Wednesday for next step.. I was told Rezum was in my best interest as to being least invasive and with better outcomes than other procedures. You should have been given meds for pain. I have a 40cc lateral lobe, but the big number to find out, is the IPP, as it tells surgeon how measures big your protruding lobe sticks into bladder! That will be blasted with injections to clear channel for urthra. Do you know the number of rezum injections you were given? Good luck to you, please, keep me posted.. I was at the threshold and help up with Rezum.
