4 days post surgery Haemorrhoidectomy

hi all.. i'm on day 4 post surgery & feel like its a losing battle. I'm still in lots of pain and haven't had a BM. The rectal pack that was used is still half inserted inside and feels like its stuck. I've called the ward i was discharged from & they have said to stop using the Co-codamol they gave me and just use Paracetamol & Ibuprofen.

I'm just asking if anyone else has trouble passing the pack. The ward have said it is dissolvable, but god knows how long it will take. I am taking lots of hot baths to keep clean and also help with the pain. Could do with some friendly advice guys! Thanks
