4 labral tear surgery. 3 weeks post op.

I had surgery 3 weeks ago for my 4th labral tear with a different Dr. I'm STILL experiencing a lot of pain in the same area as all of my previous tears. The Dr said to start weaning off the pain med he gave. Previously I've had a prescription for 2 months but didn't need them all. Would it be okay to ask my Dr for a refill since I'm almost out? I hate asking for medicine but this pain is crazy.

    Your 4th tear. I'm so sorry. I think that you should ask. At the very least, your doctor could send you to pain management. Also, see if it's ok for you to have naproxen or dicyclomine gel. You can take either one with your pain meds but many doctors like to wait till the 6 week mark.
