4 weeks after TAH

Well it's been 4 weeks tomorrow. I am at a loss as to what I should do? I'm being told by family that I'm walking to much 15 min every other day. I get up and move around so much in the house. Our bathroom is upstairs so I walk up and down them all day. I drink 2 liters of water a day just to make sure bladder and bowels work ok but have to take my senna tabs as I still don't have a good appeitite yet. Don't know if I should walk more move around less. I sit in the garden and enjoy the sun. I am having trouble sleeping on my tummy feels uncomfortable. Laying on my back is best. My husband is disabled and we aren't able to have the help we thought I'm not lifting anything heavy but do have to cook some meals, wash clothes and get my on water. I don't know if I should see my GP for a check up or what. I need to drive but have only just moved down to a smaller pillow so think I need to wait abit more for that. Walking around grocery shopping just fine as long as I dont pick anything heavy up or push trolley. I get a little tired but nothing a sit down doesn't cure. No bleeding of any kind still.

Sounds like you are doing pretty what I was doing around that time. I am 6 weeks on Friday and doing all that and possibly a bit more and doing great, except a few times I over did it and had some discomfort and fatigue to pay for it for a couple of days.

You are doing so well and everything your doing is right. Keep moving as often as possible but just do over do it, still have rests in between . I do think it's still a little early for driving but as soon as you feel comfortable with the seat belt over you without the pillow your ready. Well done you've done amazing. Debs x

I made a mistake I was 3 weeks in when I posted that. This Friday will be the end of my 4th week. I feel really good and have to remember not to lift but doing well none the less. I tried to try on clothes yesterday and it ended up crying not sure why and had to leave but I think that was me doing to much. I rest everyday but I have never been a sit in my chair woman so I am up and walking around the house all day really and now am walking outside which makes me feel tired but only for a short time. I started helping cooking meals watering flowers and putting away clothes. I want to clean my house proper but am letting family do it. My son's wedding is in 4 weeks so I will be starting on the decs for the tables this week. My scar is healing great no weeping or blood anywhere. My tummy still feels tender so no driving for me yet
