    Hi Sarah

I am on week 6 felt the same as you.Things are getting better day by day but it's a slow process and frustrating at times.Your body needs time to heal and just think of the positives at the end.

    good luck

    Dear Sarah

Normally I would suggest long hot soaks in a bath but the best you can do at the moment I suspect is long hot showers then lie on your bed and relay.

    Good luck.  Richard

Try not to get down hearted, things will get better but slowly ! Make sure you're well hydrated, my muscles get tense when I haven't drank enough. 🍺

Evening Sarah.  For me I did icing for the pain and heat for the soothing of muscles.   Massaging is very important to do as well.  Get yourself a good oil and massage those areas to help loosen any knots in the muscles.   Try also using Icy Hot or Bengay or any muscle cream throughout the day.   They have pads you can use for pain too.   Wishing you all the best and God’s blessings to you for a speedy recovery and healing.  Hugs 🤗 Linda

    Hi Sarah,

Checking in with you to see how you are doing?

4 weeks post-op is still early in recovery from such a major invasive surgery - Sounds like you are doing great -

doing your exercises, walking around and hopefully resting as needed (a lot) -- Allow your body to heal, darling - the hip will heal itself, however the surrounding soft tissue, muscles, tendons etc. need a lot of healing as well -

If you have not seen this surgery on youtube, please do so . it is not for the faint hearted though -

I also was wondering why it took so long ( at 3 weeks post-op) to feel just a bit normal and after watching this video it all made sens - I was humbled and in awe what our body had to go through - also gained great respect for surgical team ..

    be gentle

    big warm hug

    renee
