Was the surgery done laparoscopically or do you have an incision?

ok, I had an incision. I was in pain for quite some time. It took forever to heal. I know it's much easier laprascopicaly but I can't comment specifically.

Yes I think you're trying to do too much too soon - I'm still waiting for my surgery but have been told that on release from hospital I'm not to lift so much as a kettle and to expect to be away from work for 8 - 12 wks.  So my advice to you is to take it easy let others take the strain for you for a while and let your body heal

She had 3 small incisions, it won't take 8-12 weeks to heal. Unless you had a cut right across your abdomen like a c-section, I think your dr is wrong.

I was grocery shopping the very next day. Lol

I think she should go to another dr for a second opinion.
