Please don't worry, we've all been where you are, feeling completely helpless and not seeing the trees for the wood. At four weeks 90 degrees ROM is good straightening your leg will come.. Keep up your exercises. Speak to your Physio they will give you correct exercises.. I sure it will come. I found the first 6 weeks the hardest and then it started to slowly come together at 6weeks I still couldn't lift my leg off the bed.. Now I'm nearly 5months post op walking, back at work, driving, walking upstsirs(coming downstairs is still a work in progress!! 🤣).. This is a long road to recovery, a year and you've only just started on it just concentrated on small goals rather than end I find this helps you to stay focused.. Just make sure you do excercises and ice ice ice.. Use your painkillers.. Hope you soon feel better.. Xx

Four weeks is a very short time after your op. Recovery takes time, you can't rush it. Do your physio and exercise, but don't over do it. Ice, ice, ice, use your medication to control your pain, much easier to exercise if your not in great pain. You will get there in the end, it's over 20 and 18½ years since my ops and both knees are still ok.

It's good to know that your knees have lasted so long. I guess I am impatient. It's the boredom of living on my own and not being able to drive. Friends pop in but they are all so busy.
I will try to be patient and keep doing my exercises

I am two and a half years post op. Its' wonderful and well worth the effort. Yes, you do have to be very patient indeed.
I wrote an online journal about my experiences post op! Helped keep me sane! You might find writing helpful. It does prove encouraging after time... you can look back and appreciate your progress. It's so easy to not notice the small progress made, but it is made and after time you appreciated it. Hang in there! Try and find something purposeful, maybe a project of some kind, which you can do while resting and which doesn't involve physical effort but does help engage your mind!
Wishing you all the best. I only pop in here randomly now, because it's a while ago, but wishing you healing.... however it won't be rushed!
