4 year old sebaceous cyst?

my son is four years old and when he was a year and a half old, I noticed what at the time looked like a red pimple on his left temple. Took him to the dermatologist after didn’t go away for a while and use a watch and see approach since then. It has since grown into what they believe to be a sebaceous cyst.

it started red and It is now hard, white and yellow under the skin. it doesn’t seem to be near the top or would even be able to pop. As he is now, four years old, the dermatologist felt that he could have it removed and biopsied. I am waiting to do this, but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this type of skin spot. It seems to be dimpling now, which is a change for it. image

I think its a tiny fatty deposit. Thats why it cant be squeezed out. Im sure your dermatologist will put your mind at rest with removal and biopsy. Once removed it probably wont recur. Do let us know the outcome.
