    Hi Debra

If you have been diagnosed with clinical depression? then you must not expect to feel ok too quickly. Some people can take quite a long time before they feel ‘normal’ and can do ordinary things.

Over Christmas and New Year I found myself unable to get dressed. Then I found that by the evening I might be able to have a shower. Hair washing was put on hold as long as possible. I can now mostly get dressed but morning anxiety is still rampant. Because I look

better than I did(which was ghastly) people now expect me just to get on with life. I can’t and the tinnitus adds another dimension. You must get better in your own time and it takes as long as it takes.

Hi Debra. I have been taking sertraline for about 4 weeks for anxiety. Although the first 5 days I was only taking 25mg. I’m still feelin horrible too.  I feel pressure in my head, headache, burning and tingling in my neck and shoulders. Spaced out, confused and  so very shakey. I also itch all over. I have a few brief moments each day that I feel a little better but then I go right back to feeling rotten. We just have to hold on and hope we get to feeling better. Sending comfort your way.

      Hi Paula

I came off Citalopran 4 weeks ago and straight onto Sertraline, started at 50mg now been on 100mg just over two weeks.

Anxiety is greatly improved although I still can’t leave the house but it’s such peace not to have that churning tummy and everything else that goes along with anxiety.

I still have a foggy head , feel exhausted and no motivation but from what I’ve read it’s still very early days for this med to settle in so I’m sure your body will get used to it in the coming weeks or maybe days, everyone is different.

I have extremely low mood too which is yuk but I’m sure we’ll all get there in time .

      Matt
