Hi Jackie, I'm 49 and 5 months post op tvt and posterior repair and I still get those sensations after a busy day, especially driving. I don't do heavy lifting but lots of driving. It seems quite common and could take more than 6 months to settle. I've made an appt with gp to have a look and check it's not fallen down again. If you're still worried then ask your gp to look x

Hi Ann here,  I'm 9 weeks post op for rectocele prolapse and have incredible pressure in bowel and even vagina when sitting almost feels like a lump is burning to get out, hate it but nothing seems to help so made app with my surgeon next week to also make sure everything is still ok as at 6 weeks she said it was all ok, don't understand why it adtually feels worse now than it did then. I find sitting in the car really uncomfortable along with even our recliners, it's so frustrating.  Hope your check goes well let us know what doc says.

Have you tried prune juice, it's actually really nice and very effective.  Another thing that works well for me is Costa Coffee.

been drinkin prune juice alone and wasnt enough so had to start using senna again ... the things us women have to go thro certainly is worrying

I did try the others like senna, lactalose and coffee did not agree with me either.  Hope this might help as i did try lots of things before i settled on the aboverazz

Sorry i have not had anything like that so far. I am 3 and a half weeks post op and the urine infection is the only problem i have had. i still have some bruising as  i always sit down slowly but it is not painful. I have not started driving again just yet as dont feel ready. I hope your mind is put at ease soon and all is well,

    Try coffee

Unfortunately I find that caffeine irritates my bladder which doesn't help things, but prune juice and lots of water helps. If you're in the UK then Laxido is good too, from doc.

Hi merlion yes I take laxido and it is very good I wud recommend it

Hi Jackie! I am 55 years old and 15 weeks post from a stage 3-4 anterior repair. I too noticed the "lump", bulge at the opening of my vagina at about 1 week postop. It looked and felt like rough tissue and I could even see a stitch or two. Part of it was from the swelling, and the roughness has smoothed out now, but I still have a small bulge. The surgeon informed me at my 2 week postop appointment that I still have a stage 1 anterior prolapse...it is still much much better than prior to surgery.

I was released for sex at 6 weeks postop, but didn't try until 7-8 weeks postop. The small bulge disappears back to where it belongs when you are laying down and isn't noticeable to either of us. We used plenty of coconut oil for lubrication (much better than traditional lubricants and not sticky at all) and had no problems. Some positions are more comfortable than others, but over all, not a problem.

    Good luck and God Bless!
