5 1/2 months after surgery & hit a road block~Question for 'old timers' healed 6 months or more

Hello everyone! This is a question for the people who have gone through 6 months or more of healing. I had surgery for a torn rotator cuff, arthroscopic. Everything went well. I iced a lot, took care of it. Kept myself in a sling. Started PT several weeks ago, and everything has been fine. Pain reducing by degrees. To the point where I have no pain unless, of course, I try to exceed my range of motion, which has been getting better and better. I'm reaching higher and higher. Feeling overall really great, and know that my full range of motion will be back within another 7 or so months. That is, until yesterday when I felt overly confident and did some pilates. Three exercises that had me put some body weight on that arm. I didn't do many reps, and I considered myself being cautious, but today, my shoulder hurts and I'm worried. It's not that torn feeling (we all know what that feels like), but it does hurt. I guess I'm looking for anyone who was overconfident and put some weight on their shoulder only to find out that it was not the wisest thing to do. Needless to say, I will not be doing that again! I thought I could handle it because I was doing downward dog in pilates (very cautiously), and the three exercises that I did were in a similar position, but now I realize that it put too much weight on my shoulders whereas downward dog allows one to put more weight on the legs. I'm hoping someone out there will say 'happened to me, and everything was fine', but you know how it is with this injury and the surgery, you freak out when there is the slightest pain after doing something. Please reach out when you can. I appreciate it!
