I had a RTHR on Friday, they were unable to do a spinal block as my AS prevented them from being able to inject in my spine so I had GA instead. Could not get out of bed that day as my BP was too low, Physio got me out of bed Saturday morning and I couldn't believe that I was actually able to stand up straight for the first time in months, even though it was a bit of a struggle. Already I can feel the benefits of having had it done, even though still in quite a bit of pain.
I am back home now and starting my new life until the second one gets done as that is also needed.

Well done. Now you are home you will start to improve even faster.
I have low blood pressure too and it does slow the pace a bit but is quite a good thing in other ways.
What is AS? Hope it is not too serious. AtheroSclerosis? I have sat here trying to work it out
Take care and rest,
Shirley

Hope you are doing well. I guess you have ankylosing spondylitis? That is tough.
How is the new hip?

The new hip is not too bad, still some pain from the operation. The left hip is painful though so I will need to get that sorted as soon as I can

the second hip, because your first one needs time to settle
in. A new hip definitely helps support the spine, I hope it
does for you. One day at a time towards recovery.
