What you are feeling is completely normal.
About 4 weeks ago I was feeling exactly the same after my TAH. It does get better. .honestly!
A mixture of anaesthetic and hormones(even if retain ovaries, they can misbehave initially) are normally the culprit.
My advice would be...
1) make sure you keep on top of your pain, particularly at night. Lack of sleep really can make you feel terrible!
2) Try not to focus on how long you've felt rough for- time can sometimes seem to drag when you're feeling at your worst and when it seems like you've been struggling forever is actually only a very short time.
3) If you got exercises to do from the hospital- do them. They really do help with strengthening your tummy muscles. Walking a little also helps you feel better.
Hope that helps. ..Hang on in there, things will improve!

Can you recommend the exercises as I haven't got any? The lack of sleep is getting to me as well need to pop more pills I think.
I seem to have more pain on one side is this normal? Like a really sore stabbing pain

I would say though, if the pain doesn't settle, go and see your doc, just to rule out infection.
Also, the dreaded 'windypops'....horrendous a couple of days post op, and even now I have to have the occasional peppermint tea !
The exercises I was given were things like gentle pelvic tilts both lying and standing. Also the all important pelvic floor squeezes again you could ask your doc or Google. You have to be really careful though and make sure nothing hurts as you do them.
Finally have you an appointment for a post op check up? I would've thought you should have some support to help you.manage your menopause symptoms, don't be afraid to ask, some ladies I know said that after their full hysterectomy they felt SO much better when they had some meds for there symptoms - maybe they could get you on HRT ?
Hope that is OK, let us know how you get on.
All the best x
