5 Months in. Stiff neck and neck pain.

Posted , 4 users are following.

I am now 5 months in and I am starting to feel better but I have had a stiff neck and neck pain for about 2 weeks now. I have constant muscle soreness in the back of my neck and upper back and shoulders. I have had neck issues in the past but I am trying to figure out if this is the mono moving to another part of my body or my preexisting neck issues. Any else experience this at this stage?

    Hi Don,

I had all sorts of aches and pains whilst going through mono, found it so difficult to deal with. I'm not sure it's so much the virus moving about the body as it just seems to trigger different symptoms in different areas at different times - it seems to go this way from my experience and reading the experience of others.

Just remember that this does get better, 5 months in is a long way I know but it took me 9-10 to start to see full recovery - that doesn't mean to say it will be the same for you, just seems to be different for everyone, but by far the period you have been through is the worst and the intensity lessens and things do and will get better from here on it - hang in there and remember you will get there!!

Neck still hurts on and off. I have good weeks then it flares up for a week or two then it calms down.
