hi.

Ive been on sertraline 5 months rough start but after 8 weeks felt a lot better and doing well on it, but this past week iv felt nauseous and tender tummy and bad headaches. Had a bit of anxiety creeping through too, but I am worried about an up coming event next week

could it be the sertraline or the anxiety that causing me to feel poorly, Very tearful

im 25mg and Iv been fine on it up until 7 days ago.

i take it because of health anxiety and I now think iv got all sorts,

went for a mammogram last week and I'm now dreading getting the results.

i really don't want to go higher on these because I'm sensitive to medication and 25mg effect me like having a higher dose.

any advise please would be much appreciated

It could be anxiety about ur mammogram results thats causing the tummy problem. Our digestion is often affected by the way we feel. On the other hand it must be some sort of indigestion from something you ate. Dont worry. It will settle soon. Try to think positive.

Thank you for the reply Anna.

Dont think its indigestion after feeling like it for a week.

just wondering if its cluster migraines I'm getting, I do suffer from them but I usually get visual disturbances tho.

had to go to bed this afternoon because the headache was so bad, and felt sick. If it was a bug I think it would have gone after 7 days

been taking paracetamol all week for the headaches.

Julie are you on tamoxifen too?

My experience as a one year clear BC patient is if there is something on your mammogram, you would have been ultrasounded immediately.

I don't know where you live but where I am there has been a few bugs going round. Last year whilst also on citilopram the Dr prescribed an anti nausea drug and that really helped.

I wish you the very best of luck and when we're in a fragile state, expecting the worst to prepare ourselves isn't always the best thing for us. Easier said than done!

      Beverly thank you for replying

iv not had breast cancer, but previous going for my mammogram, I felt a lump in my breast and went to my gp and she couldn't find anything, lumpy breast tissue.

But I was due for a check anyway.

So sorry to hear you've had BC, and I hope your remain clear. Must have been a worrying time for you,

      are you still on citaloplam??

Its only this last week iv started feeling sick and headaches again.

surely if sertraline settled in my system I would get side effects back again?? I don't know to much about antidepressants.

im in England i haven't heard of any bugs going round.

thank you again.... keep well x

      Julie,

What a relief. I hope you'll find that all will be well. Just some fibrosis or something like that.

I'm only 3 days in on Sertaline, that's why I came on here. So that's why I was unable to answer that part. Anxiety though, that's something I know all about 😕.

Thankyou for your good wishes and just another thing I thought of...ginger is good for relieving nausea xx

When I started on sertraline I drank loads of ginger tea, it did help but I was having to visit the loo loads of times though out the day I wasn't until some told me on here that to much has that effect.

How are you feeling on  day 3 Of sertraline?? My sister suffers from sad and she never has any side effects starting on up on it, she has 6 months then comes off it again she was on citaloplam. I had all the side effects going...my anxiety got less at about 4 weeks tho.

Didnt you get on with citaloplam??  That was going to be my nx choice if I didn't settle on these. I'm also on HRT,

was on lansoprozol for 5 years but I started getting side effects so came off them. Also beta blockers had to come off them too, made my Bp and heart rate so low I was passing out. I don't have much luck taking tablets,

cost me a bomb on trial and errors, should be able to get a refund lol.

Please keep me posted on how you are doing.

if you want to private message me on here by all means do so. X

      Hi Beverly.

I feel a lot better than I did thank you,

i think all my tummy pains/ headache was the start of a water infection,

i was having hot sweats feeling sick, and going to the loo for pees loads though out the day, yesterday and today Iv drank loads of cranberry juice and water and painkillers and it seems to be subsiding.

sound like they are kicking in now for you, the spaced out feeling will go given time.

Hope your day at work went well,

thank you for checking up on me, keep me posted on how you are doing.

i also find that alcohol knocks me for six, so I'm staying off it for now.

who needs it anyway😢 Lol x
