5 months post op, horrible Squeek

Hi all

i know this sounds very strange, but I am 5 months post op right THR and after playing with my granddaughter today I sat on the sofa and moved my right leg slightly and experienced what I can only describe as a weird squeezing from my hip, this happened twice but wasn't painful, but it really scared me.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar or any thoughts what it could have been??

i carried on as normal and took granddaughter to playgroup and apart from a slight ache, which is normal for me after looking after my very active 2 year old granddaughter every Tuesday, feel nothing untoward.

what do others think it could have been....very strange x

I haven't had sqeaking, but have had hip clicking and the other night in bed I layed on back with left leg towards me and right leg flat, when suddenly my left just flopped to the left and I had excruciating pain in groin and the muscle hurts all round it, I am waiting for the on left hip, I had rthp on 11th may

Just makes me a bit worried, maybe it was just all the movement playing with granddaughter, but was a really surreal thing.  Hope your muscle pain soon goes.  I had my op on 13th April x

I'm also 5 months out and sometimes I get a pinching feeling, or dull aching pain on my THR. I think we just try to overdo it. Then we pay for it.

If it continues to be a problem , call your doctor's office for advice.

      Good luck to you!

Hi Nadine,II had my hip replacement in march.! Even now I am still not happy. As I have had pain in my top of the hip.I am a full time carer for my disabled Hubby! It's not easy as I have to help him,as he's severely sighted & also has mobility problems, with hips ,knees & lower spine.so its all on my shoulders!! I keep my self going by having reflexology & jacuzzis! Sorry to rant! I am a great believer we over do things! Regards Amanda
