5 mos after Slap Tear Repair and pain

I had a slap repair last Sept 6 (2017) and started therapyvtwo weeks later. I had great range of motion right after and was progressing well. The exercises seemed to really relieve pain and get me stronger. Then my therapist added the sideway flys with 2 lb weights. The kind of flys where you connect the weights above your head.  These were the hardest for me.

Fast forward to Dec and my insurance was getting ready to switch... so my pt visits came to an end and so did my dr because my shoulder is now considered a pre-existing.  My PT said to continue with all of the same exercises at home and I’ve been doing them every day.

Since Jan though I now have a deep aching arm. It aches all the way down to the bone of that makes sense.   Up the back of my tricep and wraps around to my bicep.  It’s similar to the ache before the surgery. However what is odd is that my arm/shoulder seemingly feels best when I’m doing the exercises. It’s when I stop and rest that it hurts it’s worst. At night too when time to go to sleep... it never used to bother me at night very much....but now, oh boy.

I admit I have not been icing hardly at all. Started yesterday when my husband noticed my arm was slightly swollen.

I take no mess except one tylenol extra strength before bed and it lets sleep somewhat pain free.

I’m really concerned as now I can’t go to the doctor for this problem… I feel helpless.

Any suggestions or anyone been through similar after Slap tear repair?

I’ll be 5 mos  post op this Feb 6 (2018)

Thanks in advance.
