Hi, I am 5 weeks today post op from Achilles release and 2 metatarsal osteomty as well as a Morton nueroma removed. Wore a splint for 2 weeks then a castr for 2 weeks. Cast was removed last wed and I was put in a boot with weight baring as tolerated. I did great for 2 days mind you it was tender but not horrible. Then i started having calf pain that has been progressively getting worse. Last night the pain was so bad I have had to use the pain pills around the clock and barley able to make it to the bathroom because of the pain. It a like the worse Charlie horse ever. I called my Dr. They said to elevate more and go back to non wt baring. I was unable to go to work today and the pain has been horrible. Called my Dr back and they want to see me tomorrow morning. No redness or heat to the area. Anyone experience this?

Yes. I am 10 weeks post-injury, 9 post op. I was in a splint for a week. And then a cast for 3 weeks. And then a boot for another 4 weeks. Once I got out of the cast and into the boot, I assumed I'd be fine walking around. I travelled for a wedding, and I could barely walk as well. I've been out of the boot for 3 weeks and I feel so much better. You just have to build back your strength. There's quite a bit of muscle atrophy that sets in from non-use. I still have some pain, but not as much in the heel. It's now more localized to my achilles, but only from therapy and doing strengh exercises.

Hang in there, you'll get there!

I found out I have a blood clot so that has landed me bed rest. So over this. Ugh
