5 weeks post TKR and feeling quite low

I had my total knee replacement 5 weeks ago ..I've realised now that I certainly won't be ready to return to work after 6 weeks (I originally thought I would) I'm still taking tramadol occasionally and though I can walk without a crutch I find I limp so still use 1 crutch . I feel a little depressed , my back gets sore if I walk for a while I can only presume it's because I'm leaning over one side ...going up and down stairs still hurts and the operated knee clicks and grinds ..my thigh muscles still tight and I'm trying to stretch them out ..anyone else feeling down and frustrated?

im 5 weeks out from a minimally invasive TKR and i also did pre op pt so i have had some advantages but had much pain and low points as well. i walked without assistance since i left the surgery center and after 2 days with my niece i came staired home, just me and my cat as sadly my hubby passed away, young and suddenly last year. im not used to being alone and during the ice storm week was totally isolated. i finally was approved to drive on 4 week which helped.

im exceeded all the pt goals for bending etc but often i push myself so hard i can barely walk the next day . ive been depressed and frustrated that im still limping and half to remind myself its a slow steady journey. I'm not sure im doing my other knee and will give it 5 months to judge my next move. ive had a terrible taste and smell since surgery which takes a toll on my appetite plus i am cold all the time and cant sleep. hope this is all worth it. Guess im ready to be done with it all.
