Hi everyone, so i have been on 50mg of sertraline since the start of january and my doctor has recently increased it to 100mg as my anxiety is quite bad and she advised that 50mg is a low dose and 100mg would be a more therapeutic dose! So took the first tablet on sun and was ok but yesterday and today i feel awful, my head is bangin im dizzy and i have a weird taste in my mouth, my dreams are frightening aswell, anyone ever had this and how long does it last, the only side effect i had when i started sertraline was increased anxiety and dry mouth!

Hello I was on 50 and doc said to increase to 100 but I asked if I could try 75 first and she said that's fine and that's where I've been since December and all ok so far x

I think she would have preferred me to go to 100 but said I was fine to try 75 and I have been fine on that so far x

    Hi,

I have only just started taking Sertraline after taking Citalopram for a year with little benefit. I am currently only on 25mg, this is only day3 for me and I have had some of the same symptoms as you, very vivid dreams, feeling dizzy and nausea. They don't sound as bad as what you're going through though as I am able to cope with them at the moment.

My doctor wants me to eventually go up to 100mg, and has told me to increase slowly so that the side effects aren't too bad. I am increasing by 25mg every four days. Myabe it's something for you to consider, perhaps going to 75mg for four days before moving up again to 100mg, just to give your body time to adjust to the higher dose.

I hope you get some relief soon and that the meds work for you in the end
