Hi! I’m 57 and have been on bioidentical HRT for approxx 3 years.  So I’d assume your not too old. My doc hasn’t told me I can’t stay in them.

My Grandmother was on hrt until about 80, due to continued hot flashes and my mother until 65, I am 52 and still having lots of trouble, obviously hereditary right, but every time I take it I get side effects, almost as bad as my menopause stuff...it is real hard to figure this out for a lot of us...

Hi Susan, my grandmother has been until 80....for sever hot flashes, my mother until 65.... I am 52 and tryed to take it many times, because I need something,  but the side effects I feel while on it are almost as hard as the menopause, I think this can be so hard for some of us gals. If it works for you and you really need help, I think you can take it... Some people also take it for shorter amounts of time. For relief at the moment and the symptoms of menopause change on you again... Omg

Mainly a lot of anxiety stuff, panic attacks, nervous all the time, and I would rather deal with the hot flashes

Hi Susan its never too old! I am 65 and on Livial ( tibolone). The benefit of being happy , no hot flushes and other positives ! I say give it and try !

Your wellbeing is far too important!  Jenny

Hi, sorry I have never tried hormone patch. I was fortunate that the Livial worked for me from the outset.

Hopefully other fellow contributors might be able to give their opinion on patches
