I think it would be possible. Everyone is different. I am on 10mg and that is working for me-i am very sensitive to meds. I started on 5 mg but needed a little more. Start off with 5 and if you need more so be it, or maybe 5 will be enough. Good luck on your journey! Hope you are feeling better soon!

had to go off 10 mg it gave me frequent urination. hoping 5 will work eventually

I recovered on 10 mg over about a year. When I was weaning off, I was at 5mg over a month, and I almost didn't want to stop because it was working.
So even if you will be at 10-20mg initially. After 8-12 months or however long it will be. Reduce to 5mg. We are definitely at our worst mentally when we first start talking it. Anxiety is pretty much a sort of acceptance thing. When you just accept it, for the most part it goes away. It will come, just embrace it like an old friend...LOL. I believe you will be with it for a while, if not longer.

Hi Nancy, i have been ticking over nicely on 5mg for the last four months now & back to working full time again. So yes its definatly possible.

I'm also on valium, but being told by people doctors, 5mg won't work. I will just keep going. thanks for the support
