I guess it depends how fast you can heal

    It took me 3 months

2 weeks with cast and 11 weeks with boot

It'll probably take another two or three weeks until the bones have healed enough to walk without the boot, then another few weeks to get hsed to walking normally again as your foot will be stiff and weak from being immobilised. Wishing you a good recovery!

My doctor kept me in a boot for 12 weeks which I think was excessive.it took several weeks of PT to walk without a limp. After 4 1/2 months, my foot  swells a lot which is bothersome. I had a pseudo Jones fracture.

I thought 12 weeks in a tall bott was excessively long and whe the doctor told me I could start going without it at home for trips to the bathroom, I didn't use the boot inside the house. She may have been super conservative with my treatment because I am 64 years old. I didn't have any pain near the site of the injury but the stiffness and lack of mobility at the ankle and toes was scary. I also have a pin from a bunionectomy in that foot so that may have made a diference in my treatment. Now after physical therapy, it is feeling good except for the swelling.
