Hi Denise. I'm so sorry you're struggling. Me too. After 7 months off my tablets and having had a great period of calm, i relapsed! That was back in April. 10mg for 2 weeks, 20mg for 4 weeks and 40mg since then. I now get periods of 2 to 3 weeks feeling normal, but then it comes back for a week or so, and so the cycle continues. When it comes back, i worry it will never go away. I use Lorazepam (0.5mg) when i feel at my worst, occasionally taking 2 on a really bad day. It is so horrid...makes me tearful talking about it as i'm in the middle of one of the bad periods!

    Are you seeing a counsellor?

    Hi Chris

I'm sorry you are having such a bad time as well, I get upset constantly and the same as you wonder if I will ever feel better, it is so hard but we have to believe we will get through this , I get anxiety through the night and day, It sometimes eases in the evenings , I have only just started on 40mg but will see how it goes and if I don't start feeling better i will need to change my medication, stay strong we can do this x

I went to see a psychiatrist recently and they suggested trying a different SSRI drug. Problem is i'll have 2 good weeks and that makes me reluctant to change.

I think i need to see my counsellor more often just to get stuff off my chest.

      Hi Chris

That's a good idea to see your counsellor , I am waiting to see one hopefully soon and i hope that this will help me, this site definitely helps when you are messaging with people that are going through the same , don't make you feel like you are on your own in this hard journey x
