I've had two,one on each leg,6 months and 16 months. They both still hurt and I can't stand long at all, so I'm beginning to worry about the older one.😕

Sorry to hear of your troubles.

You have a moan any time you like! Heaven knows you have grounds to moan.

I hope you feel a bit better soon.

Oh no you poor thing...one is painful enough! My brother had 4 but not because of mechanical fault they finally found he was allergic to the cement and metal. I then decided i would have an allergy check to see if i was the same and i was so mine is titanium plastic and some other resin that my surgeon moulded into shape. Pretty good job he did i think and touch wood im fine. It must get longer the recovery time the more tkr you have. I hope you are comfortable and taking whatever pills help you 🙁🙁

Yes you poor thing! One is bad enough...the pain, disturbed sleep, the inconvenience & reliance upon others, the hassle from work etc!!! You must be in your boots! Try to stay positive....things will improve. I am only 5 weeks out of tkr surgery and am trying to occupy myself with lap crafts, music, reading & the odd film. But already feel like I am on a roller coaster ride as have had to be swabbed for possible wound infection. I hope you find the strength to carry on with your slow recovery. Take care x

I can understand I have also had 5 TKR's along with 12 other surgeries all on the same knee and yes you have every reason in the world to vent complain moan rant etc. I get it. I will be finding out Tuesday what type of surgery I will be having yet again. The last TKR the implant was not put in properly but if you look at just the X-ray of my L knee it looks great but if you compare it to the x-ray of the R knee its way off. So now the other problem sine I have had so many surgeries once they take out this implant I am also going to have some form of bone reconstruction since there is nothing for the implant to sit on. So yes I get it and it does stink but life does go on.

I am one year older then you because of my stupid knee I have been on disability for 6-yrs. It sucks period. I have been told a typical knee replacement 10-20 yrs. yeah right for me the average is 2-3 and that is stretching it. I thought for sure the 5th replacement was going to be it however the pain in my knee over time has gotten steadily worse. My surgeon who I really liked retired and referred me to another surgeon no matter how many times I wrote or called and said I was in pain etc his standard reply was your labs and x-rays look great there is nothing I can do. Finally got pretty sick of him and found another Dr. He immediately saw something was wrong and proved it by the bone scan and the x-rays this Tuesday I see a specialist and get to find out whats next. From what I understand this next surgery is going to make a TKR seem like nothing so YIPPEE!! Of course if you think I am happy or excited your dead wrong this is bugging the crap out of me. So I try and stay positive and help others if I can, in a way it makes me feel better. I am a perfect example of this, no matter how bad your situation is there is always someone worse it does not make yours any better it just puts things in perspective.

i know exactly how you feel.it is a lot to go through .i need my right knee and hip doing too.a physiotherapist omce told me yes theres always someone worse off but remember youre worse off than a lot of pple.its ok to feel bad for urself now n then

The therapist that made the comment I do not think I would have liked to hear that. Yes its true unfortunately but still at least for me I would rather hear something uplifting then well the truth when I am trying to get better. Regardless different situations but one thing common it still stinks.
