6 months Post Achilles tendon surgery, now pain in different ligament

18 months ago had Achilles’ tendon surgery.  One year later had so many problems that had a second surgery using my big toe ligament to repair it again.  6 months later a new ligament(?) inside my foot just behind my ankle bone is in severe pain.  Dr put me back in boot for 4 weeks.  Has not helped at all in 3 weeks.  Call dr to request he order a MRI to see what’s going on before attending the 4 week post boot appt next week.  Has anyone had another ligament maybe damaged during surgery???  What can it be??  The repaired ligament is doing ok. Still can’t walk barefooted. Have to have wedged shoe.

I had something similar, 3 1/2years ago I had postorier tibal tendon repair, a few months later it failed, so I had a tendon reconstruction that involved moving my little toe tendons over to replace the once I tore, and moving my heel bone over placing screws 2 years ago and I had screws  removed a year ago it was touching tissue and maybe other stuff, After the last 2 surgeries nothing felt right, my doctor placed me in a boot October of 2017 he claimed I had “ seamosidist “ and that’s why my big toe would hurt when I would walk. And just recently my doctor stated he may have made a mistake during my surgery so he order an MRI but he didn’t know where so he thought with an MRI he could tell which it didn’t, he couldn’t find the tendon due to excessive swelling on the tendon, so he had to refer me to another doctor. Since nothing looks right, so maybe try an find another doctor don’t make the mistake I did and keep going to same doctor I did, find other opinions and see what’s going on.

Agree.  Have an appt this morning and if he finds nothing I WILL seek another opinion.
