6-Thioguanine

This is a first for me to go on a forum.  I am wondering if anyone is on 6-thioguanine?  I have been on Pentasa and then had to try Azathioprine.  Unfortunately I am allergic to it and so went back on Pentasa.  I have since had a relapse and my consultant wants me to go on Thioguanine.  The trouble is I am finding it hard to find anyone that has used it as it seems to be used mostly in Leukaemia.  Many thanks

    Hi donnaHawk,

I'm starting thioguanine together with humira today and I also find it hard to find any information about it. Have you started your treatment? If so, would you mind sharing your experience? Thank you smile

      Hi

I have not started yet as waiting for one more test. Please let me know how you get on? Which consultant are you under as my IBD nurse said only two consultants prescribe it and that's why it's difficult to find info
