6 weeks after laminectomy

Hi all - just wondering if there's anyone on here that could give me some words of encouragement!

I had a laminectomy 6 weeks ago....thought I was doing OK, no weakness or numbness as I'm walking & can definitely walk further as well. What Im worried about is the build up of pain afterwards, it really hurts! Should it be this painful? its like very bad aching back pain & burning sensation. Also if Im just standing in kitchen the numbness starts down my back.... its very strange...no weakness when walking (hurrah!), but standing still it seems to trigger the numbness. Is this normal for 6 weeks out?

thanks for reading x
