6 weeks in.......

Have been taking 50mg of sertraline for just over 6 weeks now. Changed brands a couple of weeks ago. Have taken it before and couldn’t believe the difference this time to the last. Took it for only 5 months last year and it kicked in after only 2-3 weeks, side effects were bad initially though.

From this forum though I did see that other people have had the same thing, only seeing such gradual improvement and the side effects/bad days are still going on! It has given me hope though or at least the patience to wait a bit longer.

Last night I woke at 3 and couldn’t get the anxiety out of my stomach or my brain to switch off, today is just another day though am sure i’ll get there and if not then that’s just something else to deal with. Don’t know what I would have done without my mum and i’m 37!! People who have kids themselves and have to carry on whilst feeling like this wow!!!

hi there! i was in a similar situation. i took sertraline before and had a great result. this spring it wasn't helping me at all. my doctor added buspirone and it made a huge difference. maybe it could help you too? i'm on 50 mg sertraline and 30 mg buspirone (15 mg twice a day)

    good luck to you!!

Thanks Kate, i’ll ask about it next time i’m going if not sooner! Not as bad today but still woke early and have had varying degrees of anxiety in my stomach and slight panics all day ☺️
