6 weeks post laparoscopy hysterectomy

When I cough it hurts on left side plea see help smile

    I am 8 weeks post op today and I too have developed a pain in my left side, Apparently, according to a gyny consultant, when they take "all your bits out" they stitch to one side rather than down below to avoid putting too much pressure on the cut/scar??

    Mine didn't last more than 2 weeks so try not to worry. cheesygrin

    Hi Dixie..

    Boy... I had that SAME issue... and forget trying to LAUGH!  To sneeze was the worst too!   It took me a good 3.5 - 4 weeks till that stopped... but now I still have the reflex to hold my stomach when I laugh, sneeze or cough, and its 5 weeks post as of yesterday.  I guess we get stronger each day!

    Can't wait to feel NORMAL again... hope it will be soon for you too!

      I was told to be CAREFUL on the possible hernia!!  If you are having constant pains, you better call the dr.

      I made several calls in my  weeks home..I was bleeding from the incision in 2 areas, they had to seal me with Silver Nitrate.  That works, with total bed for 2 days. Im getting  better now...hope you are too!!!  keep an eye on those pains!
