You may have done too much , rest today , and take it slow tomorrow too . If your still very worried within 2-3 day see you GP X it's a huge operation, you need a lot of healing time xxxxxx

Hi Madla, hope you are feeling better soon. Me too. I'm 5 weeks and went shopping with my sister in Morrisons and by the time I got home I was aching and the next day my back really really hurts. Still does. Hope I'm ok. Still on one stick but think my left leg is longer than my right. Had both hips replaced. Right in May last year and then left in October. When I had my right hip replaced the physio came and measured my legs. But this time I can not remember them doing it. I say can not remember because I took a bad reaction to the medication and can not remember two days in hospital.im due my appointment with the surgeon next week so I have not spoke to the GP or nurse. But I am struggling and am wondering weather to go back to two sticks to balance me out until then as I think it's because I'm off balance.
Anyway sorry about talking to myself but just had to exsplain why.
Hope all is well with you and the GP gives you the all clear and just tells you to be more careful. X

As long as you limp or feel unbalanced when walking, use 2 sticks - I had to use my 4 wheeled rollator at leats 6 weeks - like you, I had 2 THR surgeries within 6 months ... !st one is not still in healing mode, you see and 2nd one still early in recovery ..make sure your posture is straight and walk heel to toe ...
please keep us informed how you are getting on ...
big warm hug

Hi Madia.
You probably have overdone things. I'm now 9 weeks. Have had horrible groin pain. Then it went. Then awful knee pain then it went. Up until today chronic and really painful back pain This lasted a week but better today.
Today another strange pain in knee of operated leg ! Had pain in bone of operated leg. And so it goes on !!
Each time a new and different pain. I now just accept it's part of recovery. Like today. I haven't done any exercise and back pain is better.
Groin pain don't do leg lifts or slides for couple of days.
Muscles and nerves affecting all areas while they heel. Rule for me if it hurts stop doing it.
I am going back to work which involves driving and House visits. Not physical like your job but not expecting it to be easy.
All part of this roller coaster ride. So hang on in there girl and be kind to yourself. Have a couple of easy days until you feel better. Live and hugs Sandra xxx

I'm sure you haven't but ice it well to day and don't exercise, give yourself a break, not literally of course.
You are still early days

What exactly did you do??? Rest and ice for pain. Hope you feel better. I'm not feeling to good myself. The massaging in therapy today left me sore sore and weird feeling in my upper thigh by hip area. That area is still so sore and tight. Take care of yourself Madla. LD

good to hear that you are doing better right now ...
it is so easy to overdo it - fortunately your body tells you when you did, so you can rest ...
sometimes we are not ready yet to ditch the crutches - I had a rollator, 4 wheeled walker, which I think is easier to walk with than crutches - I just grab the handles, stand up straight and start walking - no pressures on hands or shoulders ...
can you put weight on your operated leg without having pain?
remember : NO BENDING, LIFTING OR TWISTING until you had your follow up appointment ....
big warm hug
