61 staples !!!!!

Just had my staples taken out 2 weeks after right tkr. I knew there were a few but we counted 61 !!!! Boy did they sting ! .have put on a new dressing till tomorrow when I will let the air get to it to heal faster and desensitise it. Stinging and tingling but looks clean.my skin had started to grow into the staples! Hopefully will get some more comfortable bend.

    Yes you will but be slow about it so you don't stretch the scar wider.  Slow and easy...

    Wow! That is A LOT of staples!

    Mine became embedded, too. Not fun!😲

    Let water trickle over it as you shower. It helps.

    Oh my goodness! Poor you. I think I would have cried. You must have been extremely brave. I'm three weeks post tkr and mine was glued. I wonder why they staple some and glue others. I wish you a speedy recovery x

    Yes that hurts doesn't it I had about the same amount now one tiny are with the slightest touch can have me screaming out loud it feels like a staple still caught and the sting unbelievable what do you guys think ?
