6th bout. Non stop

Hello! Has anyone had one bout of shingles after another? I had -jaw, right arm, left arm, flank, inner thigh and leg. Just started the second round. Is it going to stop?!! My GP said I need 4 months of acyclovir, didn't know the dose, said would come back to me. He didn't so far. I am not even mentioning the fatigue, but itching and burning are horrendous. Thanks for reading.

That's just awful.  I can't even imagine having this another time.  My issues with post shingles are the inability to maintain my core temp and the fatigue and nausea.   Get better soon hope you get some answers.

Hello Natasha, I am going through round, honestly stopped counting. I just got over around my my thigh. Had flu like symptoms for a week and half before break out. I am taking 400 milligrams of acyclovir aday for maintenance. I call it taking just another pill. It slows things down but that's about it. If I could donate my leg for science purposes and still get around I would gladly do so. Lol Best of luck Jmac

I have been dealing with constant outbreaks for the last 3 years. Taking acyclovir daily has made a huge difference, before I was breaking out every month with my monthly cycles. I have had all kind of tests to check for an immune problem and everything has checked out perfect. The only thing that I am able to blame it on is stress. I have learned to accept outbreaks is just apart of my life and I don't let the virus live my life for me. Keep you chin up ☺
